BMF Show 2006

As is now usual, we had the biggest club stand at the BMF Show, and the DOC staff struggled manfully against the adversity of ankle deep mud in a quagmire that seemed to drain every drop of water that fell onto the East of England Showground straight into our marquee. Despite horrendous weather that kept a few of our anticipated show bikes at home in the garage, we still managed a full display ranging from a 1970'3 Mk3 single to a 999, with all stages in between. Here's what you missed......

We would like to thank Veloce Motorcycles for the kind loan of their 1000 SportClassic and Multistrada demonstrators to show on our stand.

We chose the BMF Show to unveil the DOC's new logo.(We couldn't find a bigger flag)

Kids of all ages enjoyed the Playstation GP game, and the Regalia stall did plenty of business....

....and Treasurer Stoppani got to grips with the new chip'n'pin machine.

Sunday saw a new trophy being presented in honour of the late Chris Marshall, who died on April 18th after a long fight against cancer. Chris organised the DOC stand many times, and was a long term member of the Club. Being a bevel 900SS owner, he would have been pleased to see the trophy for best bike on the stand go to Colin Darlow's Hailwood Rep.

The new logo was paraded by Graham Stoppani, Martyn Edwards and Dave Whittall in the cavalcade.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....

Chairman Gaz gets to meet former DOC Chairman Anna Zee, now Chair at the BMF.

And that's all 'till next year folks.
