BMF Show - 2010

Here's the bit you don't normally see...

...getting all the decorations up.

GREAT! - I should say so. Colin's tall but struggles to reach the roof, so needs a big red footstool to help a bit.

Mid Anglia Branch members Bomber and Whizzer brought these along

Blackpool...Pah! We've got better illuminations than that!

This is what it looked like when we'd got all the outside decked out as well.
The bunch of human wrecks at the back were largely responsible for the display and manning it.

The DOC's own babe magnet gets friendly with the Movemybike girls. Start of a trend here!

It all got a bit breezy during the day (note the flags) but when the sun was out it was lovely.
The DOC Marquee was as good as it got! There were loads of references to our 25 years at the BMF Rally/Show...

...and inside we had loads of pics of past BMF's, balloons etc.

Bomber's 999x confused more than a few people. "How many of them did they make?"

Masterchef Martyn gets going on the Barby on Saturday night. DesmoBurgers galore!

Sunday dawned colder, overcast and breezy.

No comment required!

The moped racers had it a bit mucky. Hardly surprising we didn't take part in the clubs parade.

Martyn has twins!

Bloody Hell! He's pulled again. Slaphead babe magnet "I bags these two" Chairman Martyn meets the Bikesure girls

There were a few bikes in the Marquee too!

The BikeTeam Babes managed to get in while Martyn wasn't, which was a result for them!

Guy holds the trophy for Best Club Stand, presented by Anna Zee (a former DOC Chairperson)

Whizzer (Graham Beckett) gets the Chris Marshall award for the best bike on the stand for his Xerox 1098, presented by Bikesure's Laura.

Laura joins Martyn and Guy with the Best Club Stand award. See what fame can do for you!

For being such an allround good sport, decorating our bikes quite magnificently, and just being so damn nice, Laura got the official DOC award of Promo Gal Top Totty 2010. And here's a gratuitous link to their website in amongst the artistic photos which we only included because the Bikesure colour scheme goes so well with Whizzer's bike.

And on a more serious, and sad note, we raffled an embroidered polo shirt for Riders For Health in memory of Paul Johnstone, who passed away in January. The raffle was won by Robbie Marais from London, and raised £72, which has been added to the fund in Paul's memory. Thank you everyone who bought a ticket.

And finally, another bit you don't normally see. The packing up afterwards. An hour later and it's all down and on its way home. See, COM members still work even after you think it's all over.
