Southern Rally 2009

One of Chris Calton's improvements to the Southern Rally is to provide tiles overhead instead of canvas. Much to the amusement of the "southern softies" who camped, our esteemed hard-man chairbloke opted for central heating and a bed. Nice change to the decor though.

Some leave the bottle out for fresh milk in the morning.

Not DOC members though!

OK lads, get em organised for the ride-out.
Right, no slackers, last one there's a cissy.
We're not sure who called up the van, but it is alleged that someone found a Jap bike on the campsite.
Not sure about Nora's leathers.....

...or Alan's for that matter. Good colour match though.

HyperMan looks well up for it.

Just to prove that some people are prepared to take their pride and joy out in the rain too.
Stop for food, drink, fags etc....
...and something else. Northerners eh! Can't be trusted you know!
Pub merriment and tall tales ensue. Note the sign behind.
Back to the ride-out, and Martyn took some snaps through the sunroof of the accompanying jamjar.
Looks like passing opportunities were scarce on the narrow lanes.
Back at base, there's plenty of time to swap stories over a few beers.
No, they are NOT in love! It's just a malicious rumour.
Club artist Andrew Little had to break them up thought.
Pretty accurate there Martyn. Do we have any responsible adults in the DOC?
Ah yes, here's a couple, paying for the weekend doing the dishes.
Thanks go to Chris Calton for another excellently organised Southern Rally.
