Southern Rally 2005
(The Ducati Weekend)

This year's Southern Rally was re-titled, sub-titled, or just plain titled, the "Ducati Weekend", and had an excellent turnout of all sorts of Dukes, from early 70s singles right through to new millenium 999s.

Of course, the sun was in attendance (booked early see) so everyone could have a great time. Here are some pictures.

The check-in tent housed a sheltering few .....

.....while more rallyists arrived fully loaded

Treasurer Graham Stoppani used his long suffering Darmah for the weekend..............

.......but there were a goodly number of more modern bikes to be seen too.

The mass run-out had a sunny day for it......

.....and largely open roads.

A stop to let the crowds have an ogle......

..........before hitting the road again.

And some say we only cater for the "classic bikes". Showing a camping weekend can also be enjoyed on a Superbike race rep.

But of course, when you have two 1970's 750 Sports in attendance, you've just gotta let 'em lead.

Three wise monkeys enjoyed it too.

And, of course, an excellent time was had by all in the town on Saturday night.
