The Classic Bike Show has been regularly supported by the DOC for many years, but this year we excelled ourselves with what in my humble opinion was the best display we have ever put together for this particular show. From a 1948 Cucciolo to a 2005 999, we had it all. Just look at this lot!

Two superbly restored early singles.
A 1948 65 Sport and a 50cc stroker bothe won "Highly Commended" awards, and were universally appreciated....... |

Many brought up on 16v DOHC fours struggled with the concept of pull-rod valve gear, this engine owing its ancestry to the cucciolo. |

Steve Rose holds it down to stop it floating away.
Right:
Elaine Bishop, from Sutton Coldfield, displays her picture in Desmo 155, seated on husband Keith's 250 Daytona when she was just 15. They still have the bike!

| Meanwhile, our resident gnomes set up the projector and video, which ran all weekend. |

The crowds were this deep all weekend, and the "staff" could hardly get near the bikes for much of the time |
| So they spent a lot of time showing off the new club shirts from all angles. |

The DOC's resident glamourpusses, Nora and Anne, made the place look much more respectable, and also kept us well supplied with coffee and some wonderful cake. You just should have been there! |
| A 1972 750 Sport was beautiful, and took pride of place at the front of the stand. ....... |

....and just behind we had a "real" Hailwood Rep and one of the first in Ducati's line of "retro" Sport Classics, an MHE900. |

And on the other side of the stand, we had some modern classics, in Ains's 888, Andrew Jones' 916 series 3 Senna, and the latest 999.

Who said this is just a club for the old bikes?

The helping hands (well, most of them) gather for a group shot after the crowds left on Sunday. |
Once again, the club extends it's thanks to everyone who turned up to help. Jonno, who toiled all day (twice) on the regalia, Alan and Nora for once again "lending" us their Bimota based Ultra-Light, and everyone who supplied ud with bikes.
Mostly, though, a big up to Steve Rose, who made it all happen, and without whom...etc..etc..
Well done mate.
