Once again, Steve Rose was the man behind our award-winning stand at the Classic Bike Show at Stafford in October.

As usual, the DOC gathered together a fantastic collection of Bologna Bullets for the October show. |
| A nice collection of classic singles.... |

...was complemented by a bunch of modern twins. |
| We also had a couple of beautiful bevels. |

Bologna's answer to the Red Sea! |
| The DOC proved once again it embraces the modern bikes as much as the older ones... |
.jpg) |
|
...but this row of singles did look pretty! |
| Gleam, gleam, shine, shine..... |

There wasn't always this much room round the stand to get photos. |
| F1, SportClassic, 1198. What more could you ask for? |

The DOC's backdrop now looks as good as anyone's, especially when it has a red, white and green bike parked in front of it. |
| Kevin admires Jonno's stash of regalia while deciding what to buy. |

Probably the most valuable bike on the stand was also one of the most unassuming. 175cc F3 racer is one of only about 50 made and is irreplaceable. |
| I had to stop and take this early on Sunday morning on my way in to the show. Arty-farty? Me? Never! |

First things first. "Now how do you get this thing to work Martyn? " |
| No good asking Spaggy. He's only the Webmaster so won't have a clue! |

Steve Rose is pleased to accept our certificate for the best Non-Japanese club stand at the show. .. |
| ...and Martyn gets in on the act to congratulate Steve on behalf of the DOC. Sterling work, good man, all that stuff.... |

Probably the most unusual bike we've had on the stand for a while, the Manx Ducati is 600 Monster and 750SS based, with bits of Manx, AJS 7R, BSA, Trumpet and sundry nipponese things in it. Nice. |
| The motor that started it all, the Cucciolo. |

One of the most iconic badges Ducati have come up with on Kevin's Darmah. |
| The crowds never really went away, so we had to take it in turns to sneak off for a look round, burger, or lavvy visit. |

When there's this good a selection of tackle, who wouldn't want to stop and look? |
| 350 Mk3D got our own award for Best Bike on Stand. |
|
|
Yes I know it's Jap and all that, but this bike beat Kenny Roberts to the 500 title in 1983, ridden by Fast Freddie Spencer. |
Overheard in the crowd - "Who's that with Steve Rose?"
Answer, of course, the man who swung his leg over the bike above. Apparently he was really honoured to meet Steve and present him with the award for the best Non Japanese club stand. Big up that man! |

This bunch of miscreants only get a mention because they cause so much grief for the DOC's TT Crew in Port Erin. Kawasaki Triples Club will lose the drinking contest at TT2010, cert! |
| This is the bunch of COM members, bike owners, helpers, hanger-on and groupies who made sure the whole thing worked, admirably led once again by Steve Rose. |

And just to round off a great weekend for the DOC, we actually managed to drag Sir Freddie of Fastness away from his minder for a few minutes, and he happily joined the DOC Pit Crew for a group photo.
Thank you Freddie.

Little Known Fact - as related to Spaggy by the man himself. Although best known for his 27 GP wins, and 250 and 500 GP titles won on H*ndas, his last ever professional race win was on a Fast by Ferracci 916. |
