Welcome to the Ducati owners club focus group for Specials. What is a special and what makes me a specials expert then I hear you ask?

Well I am far from an expert, but having run the Harris and then the Street Specials MCC for 10 years and run the Specials rally during that period as well I do know a lot of people who could be given the title experts, so hopefully, I will be able to help out where needed!
As for what is a special, that's open to discussion, the SSMCC's definition of a Special is a motorcycle using a non standard frame, but I think for the purposes of our group we can be a bit looser than that!
Basically this group is for you to use as you see fit. My personal interest is in heavily modified production bikes and bikes using one off and kit built chassis, so in terms of Ducati's we are talking Harris, Spondon, Verlicci framed specials, not to mention the new Bains racing Imola frame kits. Its quite a list but I think you get the idea. Then theirs people who have built customised bikes. You can't have failed to see the heavily modified Monsters that are around these days, and then I have a mate with a chopped GT860, and I seem to remember a DOC member with a rising rate rear ended 750 Bevel sport.
