Ducati 749 R

Is anyone out there looking for the ultimate road / track middleweight Ducati ? If so you really have just found it ! This example was purchased new by the previous owner in 2005 for £14000 he then comissioned a local internationally renouned specialist to create the ultimate 749 To mirror the european supersport bikes built by the factory team (749 RS spec) The cost of all this effort was an additional £40000 !!

Its almost impossible to detail every exotic componant in the space i have here but am more than happy to supply detailed information upon request and if anyone is seriously interested, to give contact info for the builder. Sufficent to say this is not a bike thats just had exotic parts thrown at it, its been seriously thought through, from the squish charateristics, valve overlap and close ratio gearbox to subtle adjustments to steering angles with factory adjustable yokes and steering head etc this bike revs like a 750 two-stroke with the ledgendary linear power delivery of the L twin configuration. Many components are from Leon Haslams supersport bike (Renegade Ducati 2004 season) inc the exhaust system which cost £8000 alone ! 

The bike is a pure delight on track and not at all intimidating on the road so you can really embarrass people on much more powerfull machinery with confidence and ease !

All bodywork including the tank is carbon / kevlar and the wheels are Ducati carbon by Dymag, Exhaust is titamium so the effort to change direction is noticeably minimal. (The tank currently fitted is aluminium as carbon tank requires modern fuel proofing)

I want this bike to go to someone who appreciates it for what it is hence my choice of the Ducati owners club classifieds.

The bike has only covered 4898 miles from new as has always been part of a collection,  however it will need a gentle re-commission service to be included in the price.
