MCN Festival of Motorcycling Sept 2021 - Members Club Stand Invite

Hi Everyone! We are looking to invite more members to take part in this show.

I hope this finds you all well and looking forward to the MCN Festival of Motorcycling this September, open to the paying public 4th and 5th September. Held at the East of England Arena and Events Centre Peterborough.

We will be setting up on the afternoon of Friday the 3rd Sept.  We know this weekend clashes with the Southern Rally, but we are all trying to squeeze as much into the rest of this biking year as we can.

For those of you who have been to this event before, the format looks pretty much the same as the last couple of shows, with our “requested” site being quite close to the one we have recently enjoyed.  So, just to confirm:

  • If you can, arrive on the Friday afternoon to set up your tent behind the club’s marquee and help out with putting up banners, flags, lights, bunting etc to make another stunning display.  (See attached photograph).
  • There will also be parking for our ‘support’ vehicles just behind the “pitch” as previously enjoyed, for Caravans, Campervans, trailers etc.
  • If you can’t make the Friday, then arrive as early as possible before the show which opens at 9:00am on Saturday (or Sunday if you are coming just for one day).  You will have to be “in” before 8:30am  so I’d suggest you get there for 08:00am latest to join the “last minute” queue.
  • The show is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday with entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights for campers.  I’m sure it will be different to previous years but currently it looks like the bands will be playing in the Arena building as before.
  • There will be a full events list of racing in the Live Action Arena and Stunt Zones – SEE YOUR MCN
  • Traders marquees will be on site for those inevitable bargains
  • The Wall of Death is showing on the site plan!
  • Test Rides on bikes from most of the major manufacturers will be available as before
  • There will be plenty of food outlets and bars on site
  • There will be an electrical socket or two free for charging mobile phones, but please look after your own charger and label it with your name so does not get lost.  You’d be surprised how many get lost!
  • Passes: The way the organisers handle FREE passes for clubs is “one pass per bike”.  So if you are bringing two bikes you get two passes.  We cannot, at this stage, guarantee additional passes for partners, but it would be very unlikely if we could not get a few extras.  Your free weekend pass is worth over £30.00!
  • BBQ – I’m not yet sure that I will bring my flat plate BBQ as in the past due to “technical reasons”, so please don’t count on it and expect to go out and purchase your breakfast bacon rolls.  Free TEA & COFFEE will be available so please bring, and look after, your own mugs!!

LASTLY (and most importantly) reply straight back by email to nenevalley@docgb.netASAP, to book your place and for us to apply for your FREE passes).  If you don’t get back to us, we can’t apply for your pass.

Thanks!! We look forward to seeing as many club members as possible again.

Best regards,
