Riello UPS and Ducati Corse in MotoGP: a record partnership

Riello UPS, a brand of the Riello Elettronica group, Italian and European leader in the production of uninterruptible power supply and one of the top four companies in the world in the sector, has confirmed its sponsorship agreement with the Ducati Team for the 2018 MotoGP World Championship. The partnership between the two companies, which represent the excellence of Made in Italy technology, thus enters its twelfth year, establishing a record for duration that is rarely achieved in a high turn-over sector such as this one.

As well as the massive visibility guaranteed by the presence of the brand logo on the front fairing and the rear of the red bikes from Borgo Panigale, the riders’ leathers and team gear, the partnership between Riello UPS and Ducati has added value represented by the unprecedented and unparalleled emotional involvement that over the years has spread amongst the employees of Riello UPS and clients.

Distributors, fitters, dealers and even end-users of Riello UPS products are by now totally familiar with the Ducati-Riello UPS pairing, which valorises the image of Italian technology throughout the world. This appreciation, which is considered as being closer to affection, can be explained by the way in which Riello UPS, during the twelve-year partnership with the Ducati Team, has been able to communicate and above all share its commitment by directly and regularly involving partners and clients in numerous activities linked to the world of Ducati and MotoGP, for example by means of much-appreciated conventions and incentive and team-building activities during the races.

“…we experienced some exciting and unforgettable moments when we were invited by Riello UPS on a visit to the paddock and the Ducati box”
“…we had an opportunity to listen to the riders and shake hands with the people that everyone only sees on TV”
“…what really amazed me was seeing with my own eyes how much the people from Riello UPS and Ducati work in harmony; it seems more like a partnership between colleagues than a sponsorship …”

These are just some of the many comments that end-users and partners of Riello UPS left after taking part in one of the many events organized by Riello UPS in the Ducati Team hospitality unit during the various grands prix.

In addition Riello UPS contributes to the performance of Ducati Corse by supplying new-generation uninterruptible power supply for the protection of the team’s sophisticated electronic control and communication equipment, thus guaranteeing maximum safety and reliability.

“Continuing the partnership with such a prestigious team, which is always visible in circuits around the world, is for Riello UPS the best way of publicizing the excellence of its products and solutions which are the basis of the entrepreneurial success that each one of our clients achieves every day in their activity”, declared Pierantonio Riello, Chairman of Riello Elettronica.

“The partnership between Riello UPS and Ducati Corse in MotoGP has lasted for twelve years and with this further contract renewal it is stronger than ever. The rapport between our two companies goes way beyond mere sponsorship, because it also extends to an important technical collaboration on track and in our Borgo Panigale headquarters. Both from a company point of view and on a personal level therefore, it gives us great satisfaction to be able to confirm this successful collaboration for 2018,” commented Luigi Dall’Igna, Ducati Corse General Manager.

Success is also the word that can be used to describe the opening round of the 2018 MotoGP World Championship at Losail, in Qatar, with a splendid win for Andrea Dovizioso aboard his Desmosedici GP, who with intelligent tyre management, a superlative race strategy and a nail-biting duel at the final curve with Marc Marquez, took Ducati Corse and Riello UPS to the top of the podium.
